Pioneering Robotics in Cancer Care Showcased at Public Keele University Event
The transformative impact of pioneering surgical robotics on patients with head and neck cancers will be the focus of a special public showcase next week, hosted by UHNM Charity with support from PREM Management.

The event, taking place on Wednesday 3rd December at Keele University's School of Medicine, will bring together leading surgeons from University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) NHS Trust and, most powerfully, the patients whose lives have been changed by this advanced technology.
Medics across North Staffordshire and beyond are utilising state-of-the-art robotic systems to perform complex, minimally invasive surgeries. This approach can offer significant benefits for patients, including greater precision, reduced recovery times, and improved clinical outcomes.
The showcase will provide a unique insight into this medical frontier. Attendees will hear directly from the clinical teams deploying these robots and, in a poignant and powerful session, from patients who have undergone treatment. Their stories, documented in detail by PREM Management, underscore the human benefit behind the technological innovation.
"While the robotics themselves are extraordinary, it's the patient journeys that truly tell the story," said Steve Buxton, Managing Director of PREM Management. "Our role has been to capture and honour these powerful narratives. This event is a vital opportunity to share how cutting-edge technology, combined with exceptional clinical skill, is reshaping lives in our community."
The UHNM Charity, which supports the advancement of healthcare across the Trust, is proud to host an event that highlights such a significant area of innovation.
